In juli 2006 vond in maastricht IEA 2006 plaats, het wereldcongres van de International Ergonomics Association. Aan het congres leverde ErgoS niet alleen een belangrijke organisatorische bijdrage, maar ook een groot aantal onderzoeksbijdragen. Het boek Meeting Diversity in Ergonomics bevat vier hoofdstukken van ErgoS-medewerkers: 1 - Meeting Diversity in Ergonomics: E.A.P. Koningsveld, P.J.M. Settels, R.N. Pikaar 3 - New Challenges: Ergonomics in Engineering Projects: R.N. Pikaar 13 - An integral approach to make software work: E. Mulder 15 - Ergonomic Intervention in hospital architecture: J. Villeneuve, S.L.M. Remijn, J. Lu, S. Hignett, A.E. Duffy De Keynote sprekers op het congres publiceerden hun bijdrage in een special issue van het tijdschrift 'Applied Ergonomics' (edited by de Looze en Pikaar).
